14) Now on to adding some more detail ... add a door as a new layer. The one I used is available for download and is in *.psd format to maintain the transparent background. Some resizing may be necessary, but can be done in the next step. ![]() 15) While the door layer is active, select Image|Deformations|Perspective - Horizontal and your setting should be -100% note that is minus 100%. This step required the use of the deformations tool to get it lined up correctly with the ceiling and floor. You can resize here as well as tweak the horizontal alignment. I also applied a slight drop shadow for more depth. I used a vertical and horizontal setting of 2 with a black shadow, opacity=89 and blur=2.2. 16) Add a rug as a new layer. If you like you can use the one I used available here. With the new layer active, rotate the rug right or left at 90 degrees. ![]() 17) With the rug layer active select the Image|Deformations|Perspective = Verticle with a setting of (minus) 100% - this deformation may be applied a second time if desired. 18) Add other items as desired. Here I have added a pedestal and vase of flowers. ![]() 19) I chose here to add a drop shadow to the last items with the following settings: Color = Black Opacity = 70 Blur = 7.0 Vertical = 0 Horizontal = 12 ![]() I hope you have fun with this ... it was fun to do. Just as soon as I learn more about lighting and such ... I'll continue :-) I'm hating that line going thru that wallpaper ... time for a paint job, I guess. These images have all been saved in the JPG format at a compression setting of 30 for faster download times. They are not of the best quality .. to see the last version at original size and in the PNG format visit the link below. (NO, that ratty wall is not painted yet!) |
