Al's Place - A Panorama

Software used: Bryce 4, Poser 4, Paint Shop Pro 6 and Painter 6

A full size panorama java view is available here ... Al's Place and requires that Java be enabled and warning .. there is music :-) and please, be patient, it takes a bit of time to load if you are on a dial-up connection. Your browser may say 'document done' and you see a white block, the image is still loading. A link to the "Panorama" applet is provided on the page.

The version above has been reduced by 50%, so that scrolling would not be necessary. It is best viewed using the java applet. The image is my version of the view from my kitchen and has been in my head for over a year now. It was time to get it out of there and into the computer. A lot of post-render was used, some Paint Shop Pro tubes, some additional lighting/glow in Painter 6 and a lot of frustration getting two Bryce images to meld together into one. Thanks Feri - your castle building is in there, disguised as an old brick farmhouse. In my own way I guess I'm also attempting to preserve historic buildings. Al's Place is on the edge of the housing additions which are closing in rapidly all around him. Thank you, Al, for holding out and letting me enjoy the view for the past three years.

I should add that while putting the finishing touches on this image, I learned of the loss of a great artist and wonderful inspiration to me and many others over the last few years .. Marie-Claude Morin. Marie participated in the newsgroup where I first became acquainted with Bryce ... her wonderful images and helpful comments to others were an inspiration to everyone. I am deeply saddened and wish to convey my sincere condolences to her friends in the art community and to her family. She will be missed by many.
